Black Bird:

Lewis River Golf Course is laid out for all levels of golfers from the advanced player looking for the challenge to the novice just learning to enjoy the game.

The course crosses McKay Creek twice, and is easily walked, although power carts are available. The regulation par 36 course with 3 par 3's, 3 par 4's, and 3 par 5's is challenging and fun for golfers of all levels.

McNary encompasses 150 acres of meadows. The course is one of the most beautiful layouts in the area with lakes, impeccable fairways and greens.

In 1991, the Oregon Golf Association (OGA) commissioned a study to determine the feasibility of constructing an 18-hole golf course and the financing requirements to undertake such a monumental project. The study determined that the cost of the project, depending on its location, would most likely rule out the dream of the OGA having its own facility, barring an unforeseen miracle.
